Always Something New (ASN) publishes useful, checked information for Indian readers. This page explains how we choose what to publish, how we check it, and what we do when we get something wrong. Last updated: 26 October 2026.

What we pick

We write for an ordinary reader in India, on a phone. Most of our items are about India: farmer updates, government schemes, scam alerts, and green energy. Our engineering and tech items are written so a reader anywhere can use them.

An item earns a place only if a real person can do something with it, or is protected by it. We ask: who is this for, what changes for them after reading, is it new or newly useful, and can we check it ourselves? If the answer to the last question is no, we do not publish it. We do not cover gossip, outrage, religion, politics, or anything a reader could lose money on by following.

How we verify

We open the official or primary source ourselves and read the facts on that page. This means the government notification, the state portal, the regulator, the project’s documentation, or the official data system. News reports can add context, but we do not base a government, farmer, or money claim on them.

Every item carries one of two labels:

  • VERIFIED: we read every claim on an official page we opened. We record the link and the date we checked it.
  • REPORTED: used only for news items, where the claim is that a named source reported something. The post says so in its first line.

If we cannot check a fact, we drop the item. We do not guess, and we do not soften a claim to make it fit. If a source does not state a deadline, our post does not state one either.

Credit and links

Every post names its source and links to the exact page. We write in our own words. We do not copy text, images, videos, or music from other sites. A short official phrase may appear in quotation marks, with the source named. We do not reproduce paywalled content.

What we do not publish

We do not give buy or sell advice, price targets, or investment tips. We do not give medical, legal, or financial instructions. We report what the official source says and link to it.

Corrections

If we get something wrong, please email us at asndaily.com@gmail.com, using the Contact page. We fix errors as quickly as we can. The corrected post carries a note at the end with the date of the correction and what changed. We do not delete errors silently.

How AI is used

AI tools help our team research and draft. Every post is checked against its source, and a person approves it before it goes out. The approval is always a human decision.
